Getting started / Video guide
furbsh - What do you need before setting up?
This quick guide will help you get things ready so your onboarding is quicker and smooth.
Step 1: Create one onboarding folder Create a single folder on your computer to store all files and links needed for setup. Step 2: Add your establishment logo and icon (favicon) Save: - Your main establishment logo - A small icon/favion version (used in browser tabs and small UI areas) Step 3: Prepare 8 establishment “theme” images (with products visible) Collect eight high-quality photos that show your establishment with products in context. These will be used as storefront themes/banners (e.g., “Bathroom”, “Romance”). Tips for choosing images: - Use wide, clear shots with multiple products visible (towels, robes, slippers, candles, lanterns, accessories) - Each image should represent a distinct theme/category people would browse Step 4: Ensure each theme image supports product grouping For each of the 8 images, think about which products belong under that theme so they can be listed and searched in the storefront. Step 5: Prepare a main website promotional banner (landscape) Choose a landscape photo that promotes your property/establishment and will be used to link from the storefront to your main website. Step 6: Gather your social media links Have your profile/page links ready for: - X - LinkedIn - Facebook - Instagram Step 7: Prepare at least 1 product to upload Pick one product you’re ready to load into the store (e.g., bath towel, lantern, art/decor item) and gather: - 2–3 photos from different angles - Product dimensions Keep everything in the onboarding folder so it’s ready during the upload steps. Step 8: Confirm your payment gateway Identify which payment provider you use (or plan to use), such as: - Paystack - Payfast - Paygate - Peach Payments Step 9: Identify the supplier for the product(s) you’ll sell Write down who supplies the product you’re uploading (e.g., linen/bathroom warehouse). This helps you manage stock, cost, and pricing in the system. Step 10: Compile your company details Collect your official business details for setup (e.g., registered company name, postal code, and related company info). Step 11: Add your VAT/tax number (if applicable) Provide your VAT/tax number so the tax system can calculate correct taxes and support accurate reporting. Note: tax jurisdiction is based on where the company receives the money (e.g., the office location handling payments). Step 12: Choose a store contact person and gather their details Decide who will manage or oversee the store, then prepare: - Phone number - Email - Profile picture This enables customer communication and support tickets.
